Software for inventive problem-solving

چکیده
In the past decade, knowledge management has played a critical and active role in business settings at the organisation level. Recently, the importance of knowledge management is becoming increasingly recognised in e-government. A key challenge of studying knowledge management in e-government is to extrapolate our current understanding in business settings to the public domain and the societal level of analysis. Drawing upon a case study of San Joaquin Valley in central California, this paper proposes that we need to take a situated approach to explore a specific societal context in order to identify and analyse the relevant influencing societal factors.

Incorporating Innovation Into Iterative Software Development Using The Inventive Problem Solving Methodology
Iterative software methodologies allow development teams to be agile in their response to changing requirements and dynamic projects environments. Largely, however, the development team is limited to being reactive to requirement churn occurring outside the purview of the software development team itself. This paper describes a method based on the study of over two million patents, called inven...
متن کاملTRIZ for software architecture
A key element to designing software architectures of good quality is the systematic handling of contradicting quality requirements and the structuring principles that support them. The theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) by Altshuller offers tools that can be used to define such a systematic way. This paper describes the idea and preliminary results of using inventive principles and the ...
متن کاملRedesign Services using Inventive Principles: A Case Study
Systematic redesign services could help to produce new service innovation. The Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) with its tools such as the 40 inventive principles and matrix of contradiction developed by Genrich Altshuller and his colleagues are important tools to generate new ideas and solutions for problem solving. Although TRIZ was developed for technical problems, the 40 inventive...

This paper reports on a new undergraduate course at Florida Atlantic University titled: “Introduction to Inventive Problem Solving in Engineering”. The goal is to enhance inventive thinking abilities of undergraduate students resulting in skills that can be used in science, math, engineering and technology. The course is focused on developing thinking skills that stay with the students, and is ...
متن کاملA Heuristic TRIZ Problem Solving Approach based on Semantic Relatedness and Ontology Reasoning
The theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ) was developed to solve inventive problems in different industrial fields. In recent decades, modern innovation theories and methods proposed several different knowledge sources, whose use requires extensive knowledge about different engineering domains. In order to facilitate the use of the TRIZ knowledge sources, this paper explores a heuristic TR...
متن کاملComputer-Aided Problem Solving - Part 2: A Dialogue-Based System to Support the Analysis of Inventive Problems
The paper illustrates an original model and a dialogue-based software application that have been developed by integrating the logic of ARIZ with some OTSM-TRIZ models, in order to guide a user, also with no TRIZ background, to the analysis of inventive problems. The dialogue-based procedure brings to the construction of a model of the inventive problem, which is used both to trigger new solutio...
